Tris Buffered Saline, TBS (20X)

The Tris Buffered Saline (TBS) is an isotonic solution frequently used in biological research due to its non-toxic nature. The formulation of TBS includes Tris (tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane), which serves as a buffering agent, and Sodium Chloride (NaCl) salt. Tris maintains a stable pH range typically between 7.4 to 8.0 while NaCl regulates osmotic balance via its elected concentration. This TBS Solution is formulated at a 20X concentration, and is useful for washing in Western Blotting.
