Sabouraud Dextrose Broth

Sabouraud Dextrose Broth is a common fungal growth media, widely used for various fungal types, such as Candida, Aspergillus, and dermatophytes. Dextrose (glucose) is the main energy source, with meat and casein peptones providing necessary nutrients for growth. The broth has an acidic pH of 5.6, which helps to limit potential bacterial growth. The media can be supplemented with antibiotics as necessary. The broth supports various fungal cultures, antifungal testing, contamination studies, and other fungal research.
