LiCl RNA Precipitation Solution (7.5 M LiCl, 50 mM EDTA)

LiCl RNA Precipitation Solution is composed of high-molarity lithium chloride and EDTA, providing a rapid method for selectively precipitating large RNA species from a sample. Unlike ethanol-based precipitation, LiCl precipitation leaves most DNA, small RNAs, and free nucleotides in solution, simplifying RNA purification. EDTA further protects the isolated RNA by chelating divalent metal ions required for nuclease activity. The solution is tested for DNase and RNase contamination to help ensure sample integrity during use.
