Glycerol

100% Glycerol is a viscous, hygroscopic reagent commonly used as a cryoprotectant with appropriate dilution to prevent ice crystal formation during freezing, preserving the viability of bacterial glycerol stocks and the activity of stored enzymes. It is also widely used as a component in loading buffers for gel electrophoresis, where it increases sample density to aid well loading. The product is tested for DNase, RNase, and protease contamination, making it suitable for sensitive molecular biology and protein-based applications.
