2xYT Medium (Animal Free)

Animal Free 2xYT Medium is a nutrient-rich growth medium composed of soy peptone, yeast extract, and sodium chloride. Soy peptone replaces tryptone found in traditional 2xYT formulations. The enriched nutrient content supports faster growth and higher culture densities, making it a common choice for plasmid amplification, bacteriophage propagation, and general cloning applications. Animal free formulation using soy peptone provides consistent performance for research workflows requiring animal free media.
